Levels
The classes run for 1 hour 30 min to 1 hour 45 minutes depending on the level. Usually, one stays one year in a level.
Level 1 : beginner level: the students are new to Iyengar yoga or have practiced other methods of yoga. The inverted posture -shoulder stand- is taught and practiced.
Level 1-2: After 6 months practice in level 1, the students know the bases and hold the shoulder stand (Sarvangasana)
Level 2 : after 1 year practice in level 1, the posture ‘on the head’ and pranayama are taught.
Level 3 : 1 hour 45 min. the student stays 5 minutes on his/her head & 5 minutes in shoulder stand.
Level 4 : 1 hour 45 min. to 2 hours; the student practices at home and can stay 10 minutes on his head and 10 minutes in shoulder stand. Both students and teachers are welcome.
